Gary's Personal Collection
Middle Dates: 1828

1828 N3

Nice middle date. I called this one VF20. Ex Tom Hart.

1828 N5

Nice cud variety from Sam Thurman's collection. It has the reverse cud at "ED". Sam picked this one up from Henry Hettger 4/96 so it hasn't seen the light of day for 10yrs. It is lightly granular as seen in the pics. It is the plate coin for "The Cud Book" listed on page 6 as LCC-1828-2R.

1828 N6 1828 N6

Im not too good at grading nice middle dates but I called this one a VF35/30 for some obverse marks. ex Eric Fix 8/09; ex Tom Hart 11/20/07.

1828 N8 TDS 1828 N8 TDS

This is a absolutely choice coin! I gonna call it F12 for now which is nicer than the plate coin in Noyes book! Difficult to find with the cud. Not sure how many of these exist but I now have two nice ones. I purchased this from Robert Dunfield 6/08

1828 N8 1828 N8

This is a tougher coin to find with the cud. It is also from Sam Thurman's collection. It has the reverse cud at "TED". I would grade this one Good. Slightly better but a reverse dig at ONE CENT. The coin has very nice color. It is the plate coin for "The Cud Book" listed on page 6 as LCC-1828-1R. UPDATE:I traded this coin to Tom Hart for another cud variety. I somewhat regret letting it go.

This is a tough variety even without th cud. EAC grade VF25. EDS with perfect reverse. ex Tom Hart 9/24/09. The color and surfaces are choice.

1828 N12 1828 N12

EAC grade VF20 avg+. This is a tough variety making this coin at or near CC level. ex Tom Hart 1/9/12. ex CVM; ex Scotman Coin
