EAC grade XF45. Three reverse cuds...two are faint. The cud marked at AT should actually
be marked at ST...it is very faint and barely noticeable. I bought it from
Tom Reynolds at the Missouri Numismatic show in June 2007.

1847 N7c
EAC Grellman graded 50/30 for micro corr and dark crud. I traded for this coin with Bill Simonson.
I removed most of the dark crud but I still have some work to do. The grade assigned by Bob is quite
harsh. This coin is a very cool looking coin. It almost looks stained...not corroded. It is the second
stage of the cud progression on this variety with obverse cuds at star 1 and other extending to under
date. It is slightly more common than the other cuds of the N7 with 17 known. Still quite rare!

1847 N11
EAC Grellman graded 50/35 for lt corr, finely granular and recolored. It is die state a.
I bought this one on eBay. It looked like a solid XF coin with coin brown color. When it arrived it looked
as though it had slighly "gritty" surfaces. I xyloled it and the grit came off like shoe
polish to reveal a recolored coin. I am still pleased with the coin since it is a pretty
tough R4 variety that was a 25pt upgrade for my collection.

EAC Grellman graded 40/20. Robert Dunfield recolored this coin for me and it looks great. I have added
extra pics. Strong Obverse cud stars 9-10. I would call it a 40/30 now and its a decent looking coin instead of a
ugly duckling!

1847 N13 with rev cud over R in AMERICA
This is a tough coin to grade. I would say it has XF45+ sharpness but it has obvious obverse graffiti.
The carvings read "1850" in the right field and what looks like "MOTHER" and maybe "T&W" on the face and
left field. The coin is fairly rare in this die state with 14 known counting this new find. Im going to
call this one a 45+/20 which would put it at the least finest known at #14. Besides the carvings the coin
looks very nice and has outstanding detail...especially the reverse cracks.

1847 N14b
I just received this coin from George Siefrit. I would say the coin has about 15% red remaining. Its grade is
at least a MS60+ coin but my knowlegde of MS coins is limited. I plan to send it to Bob Grellman for his opinion at some point
in time. For now lets just call it a MS60 coin which would rank it CC#8 for this tough R4+ variety. It is die state b with
the reverse legends cracked. I superb cent. One of my nicer coins. Thanks George!
UPDATE:Grellman looked at the coin and called it 63/60+ for the little rim mark at k7 on the reverse.
